5 ways to Avoid Network Marketing Overload and Mental Meltdown
Well here it is Monday and do I have one word put into an outline, or a rough draft saved and ready to post with just the push of a button?
Are all my ducks in a row and I’m set to go this morning? NOoooo!
See we have had company from FL all week, and a family reunion on the weekend. Don’t get me wrong, I loved playing hooky. But I cringe to think what awaits me when I get back out there to work, on my social and networking sites the bread and butter of relationship building and branding yourself as well as sharing your latest shinny and what you been up tos’, that is so time consuming but, drives Network Marketing in fact it is our network online. And it does not stop because I do.
But I came on today and am writing from scratch as I sit here, about the importance of setting priorities and how to keep yourself sane.
We, like most Networkers are always looking to add a new option to our treasure chest that we use and recommend to our followers and people who want help in starting their own business. As like in all industry Network Marketing is not a cookie cutter fit by the model alone. Some companies products services and ideas work better for one person than another so having an array of choices makes it easier to help people who are looking to build a sustainable business decide their own fit and what they want to get involved with.
And most Networkers want additional revenue streams coming in, in our profession.
The drawback is you can actually diet coffee, energy juice and latest health products yourself into no free time.
But when you do jump you know it is time to like Spinfinity GobalOne’s revolutionary new idea from Scotty Evans that we have just got involved with.
Since we listen to what our colleagues are saying and also you watch your fellow Networkers doing well so you want to add one more company to your own portfolio and if you are making money then that is great! The cost is never an issue but, time is. So you need to choose wisely how you spend it.
So 5 ways to Avoid Network Marketing Overload and Mental Meltdown!
# 1 Prioritize your projects and
company duties.
I am normally really good about organizing and juggling a lot of balls, but if
I try and add another before I complete the last one. Then I have to work hard
to not drop one. So I keep a tight reign on my schedule. But have family come
and stay with us and that throws it all out of whack for me, but really that
should not be.
I need to go through my traffic builders and where I network and weigh my soooo precious time verses return, strictly on a professional level so I am not swamped with busy work, instead make productive use of time. You may want to as well. Because though outdated sites may still bring some value, mostly we hang on there due to it just being a part of our normal routine.
# 2 Pick your 3 top social sites, or traffic generator/relationship building sites and spend the majority of the time you set aside for networking on those first.
# 3 Allot, a designated amount of time to each activity you undertake to grow your business on those sites.
I know that we all also have sites that we are there because we have a personal involvement, but really we do not do any business there. I am not saying stop your purely social sites, just adjust your time to get the best bang for your buck! Both in your business needs and emotionally so you adjust time accordingly.
# 4 Let go the guilt!I am still working on this, both the guilt of walking away for days while new Twitter followers go unanswered while friends and colleagues write me on my networking sites and my Labchat email list (which is purely personal now that it is 13 years old and I am no longer breeding and showing) But it all weighs on me that I feel am not doing as I should. Don’t you do that too. You know teachers and coaches we are so good at directing others, but us….. Well we are too busy taking care of others to follow our own advice. If that was

the case I would not be pulling my hair out in frustration half the time trying to dot all my i’s and cross all my t’s without missing a beat :)
#5 WALK AWAY at least once a week!
More if you can.
We are going on a two week vacation in October and I am going to try hard NOT
to work, though I will be lugging along my laptop we both will, but we all need
to give 100% (or more) when we are working and just allow ourselves to breathe
and not have a million I need to dos running in the background of our minds
when we are not. Or when we are on vacation.
And it should be family time while family is here visiting after all they flew in to see you, so you should be present. Even if you have to play catch up on Monday!
And that brings me full circle- tons of emails to catch up with, followers to write subscribers to approve and one more day before our house guest leaves- So maybe that all will be tomorrow ; )
Happy Monday everyone!
