
NEVER Face Rejection Again- In Network Marketing
How can you do that, you ask. How can you Never Face Rejection Again?
Simple we are going to look at talking to people, be it online, offline or by phone differently. It does not matter if they are warm or cold contacts- people you know or friends you have yet to meet. You can eliminate the feeling of dread that hits so many and stops a lot of Network Marketers in their tracks before they start (remember setting up our office in blog post It’s not about the Office in Network Marketing We can find a million ways NOT to take action!
So yes we can stop ourselves from DOING and get sidetracked with things like busy work, fancy office setups and snazzy new business cards and EXCUSES.
WHY?
Because of the fear of talking to people.
I think it comes down to two major reasons people fail to ACT in Network Marketing!
1. I do not know anyone
And
2. I do not want to be REJECTED!
How to talk to people in Network marketing?
Well I am here to tell you, you do not need to know anyone in which to pitch your opportunity to because we are NEVER going to pitch to anyone.
If you have done so before, and it is the reason for your failure to move forward- STOP IT! If you have never gotten started in your business, pitching yourself and your company is NOT a smart way to get people on board, so don’t do it!
And we are not inviting, anyone into any “opportunity” either NOT one person ever whom we do finally share our business with will be pitched or invited.
If you decide to share the details of your business, you will do so by accessing peoples needs that you may have a win, win solution for. After, you share details if they show an interest in joining you, you will then proceed to interview as to the fit for both them and yourself as potential business partners.
We are not out to push shakes, vitamins, healthily life styles, weight loss products- what have you, nor the business end of our company on people just to make those sales, or get sign up bonus. You are building a business that will be there for you and your family. That need takes quality people as I have discussed in past post OK I built it how do I train it? Team Training- Human Nature use the brick and motor approach when deciding how you do business and in how you bring people into your business, to grow a successful and profitable business where everyone does their part to see true financial freedom and life changing results
And the second excuse for setting up your self to fail is the awful feeling in the pit of your stomach that occurs of how and when to get your “opportunity” into the conversation when you talk to someone. And then when you get that awkward silence and the talking comes to an abrupt halt, and you have to have that uncomfortable parting with NO, hanging in the air! And you feel BAD!
You need to shift your business building mindset.

As far as finding enough people. There are so many ways in which to bring your self into contact with people from free and purchased lead list, to opt in pages, to joining social groups online and off. From volunteering, helping at church, to you your weekend walk at the lake, and more. But we are not addressing how to find people in this post (we will in my next post) but, instead how to avoid rejection from those you do make contact with. As that is such a large stumbling block for so many.
It is really so easy if you shift your thinking from offering or selling or anything about you and change it to solving problems bringing solutions and providing help to those that need it. How do you do that? You ask questions, you talk to people and you listen to what they say. You have a real, yet casual and no agenda conversation.
People will, in an unguarded relaxed conversation unfold to you (and themselves) what they need, if anything. Whether they are looking for something, want something, would be open to a new business, or if they are fine where they are.
The conversation could be brief and a one time visit or go over several days, weeks, every other month, matters not the conversation will dictate the course. But each one will be welcome.
They will begin to think highly of you and tell others how great you are because you listened to them, even if you tell them nothing about you, they like you because of how you made them feel. as I mentioned in past post Ya Gotta Have Heart, the importance of making someone feel special and listened to. Because really listening to someone else is a rare gift. Most of us are not active listening we are passive listening. When you are keying in to words in which to reply, so as to just look like you are following a conversation you are NOT. If you are forming your own response as they talk and only looking for a place to interject you are NOT listening either.
If you listen Then YOU will not face rejection because you will not bring up your business if it would not be what they are looking for, or the right time, or the right conversation. And remember when you do feel it is the right time and right person to talk about what you do, we ARE in a business NOT an opportunity we are a legitimate business and not just an industry we are business professionals and not just Network Marketers. We are problem solvers NOT salesmen.
And by not bringing up the business just to bring up the business you take a pleasant conversation to the next person, be it that day or not, picking up the phone, answering email you will be set to go and in a positively charged mindset because you are not coming off something dreaded and just gotten through that made you feel bad. You instead feel great ready to move on! And who knows maybe you will speak with that person further as they will certainly be favorable to you when you talk again. And as you build that relationship and grow your worth to them doors can open up that would have been slammed in your face had you blindsided them with unwanted opportunities and unwelcome pitches in your first (and most likely last) conversation. And you take that smile and feeling of well being to the next person you talk to, which will be another warm visit to access who they are what they need (if anything) and if they let you know and you might hold the key they are looking for. Then you can open up and see if there is a match.
