Why you want to stock your team with pros
your team with pros Last week I talked about the importance of your upline. This week I am going to go back into the subject of recruiting, something I did in an earlier blog post Sponsoring and Team Building, but this time with a twist. This article is not about just screening people or looking for matches, but instead is about how you go about building your team with established Marketers and WHY you should.
First the WHY..When you get people on your team that are aware how our industry works have built teams and made money in the companies they have been with they WILL build your downline and they WILL bring in teams of their own.
How….
It is the simple strategy of recruiting established Marketers into your downline.
This strategy of recruiting makes so much sense and is such a powerful effective tool that has been proven to work as long as Network Marketing has been around. Becasue it works is the primary reason why virtually ALL new Network Marketing companies begin the downline building process by first opening themselves up to known heavy hitters before pre-launch. WHY? because they, more often than not, quickly build large downlines, which starts the buzz going about a new company.
And recruiting experienced Marketers is the same strategy the established Marketer’s use time and time again to build their own downlines quickly.
I quote from a fellow Marketer and coach- Tracey Biller “Recruit MLM veterans, not rookies. To build a large downline fast, you must recruit other experienced MLM distributors, the veterans. Do not recruit MLM rookies. That’s the secret! Do not recruit your family and friends. And don’t recruit opportunity seekers. In other words, don’t recruit people who have no MLM experience.
You see, when you recruit rookies, then you’re relying solely on luck of the draw and the odds are against you ever succeeding in MLM. Forget luck, and go to where the odds are in your favor. Only recruit veteran MLM distributors.
The reasons are logical. MLM veteran distributors have already been sold on MLM. They’ve already been trained. They know MLM works. They’ve already got the mind-set of working from home. They want to make money. And most important of all, they know other experienced MLM distributors they can recruit. Recruit other MLM veteran distributors and you’ll create a downline explosion”.
I love this recommendation because it makes so much sense. Tracey is right. If you are hiring a construction crew to build your house you want people who know how to build, not just newbies that maybe like the idea off learning how to build a house, well maybe anyway when they get ready and yeah they would like to make some money doing it but they can’t read plans, or never stepped foot on a job site before. But hey they joined your team because you made it sound so easy, or they wanted to help you out. Sound familiar?
It is so much better to not be the first house anyone tries to build right? So doesn’t it also make sense not to be the first team a person joins in Network Marketing?
My only exception would be if you see promise and a willingness to learn, just like the foremen of the job may do, Maybe that is someone to see what they are made of and give a chance.
As some things still hold true though just like I have told you all along.
The most important factor for quickly building a large downline is the quality of your people and it is a known fact among the industry’s top earners that it is easy to succeed when you recruit doers people who take ACTION! And Veteran Network Marketers are both doers and Action takers.
I am not telling you to completely forget the diamond in the rough, or someone who you can feel their hunger to learn, if you are willing to teach. But, when you recruit people with industry experience, and a proven track record of success they are already highly pre-targeted and pre-qualified. So you do not have to do as much screening.
Veteran Network Marketers are more than likely if approached in a professional non salesmanship manner to look at your company, if you can show them your company is better than what they are with now.
So Where to find them?
OK but I do not know any heavy hitters you say, I do not even know people who are really building teams or have any Marketing experience.
You can meet people in the business who have marketing and real industry experience all over IBOSocial, it is a great place to meet people in our industry as well as LinkedIN and Network Marketing forums like Warrior.
Also here are a couple additional tools to help you locate the pros and, veteran Network Marketers… Do a Google search to locate these list.
Multilevel Marketing (MLM) Genealogy Reports:
This is a database with the names emails and other contact info who have been in the business or are currently involved in MLM.
MLM Distributor Specific Databases:
These types of databases are much like genealogy reports, except they contain distributors from specific companies. these databases are rare, but worth hunting for, and you should make use of them when you are lucky enough to find one.
And as I said do a Google search and also research any company that sells both these types of list
Those are a few proven tools in locating people who know and already love our industry and how to do MLM.
But the best way to get a better downline is become a Heavy Hitter yourself. Be a better leader and better teacher lead by example and get out there and succeed. If you want to attract experienced Marketers into your downline, you must become a top earner. People who are serious about building a Network Marketing business and may ultimately become successful Networkers will be attracted to join under people who are successful in their chosen company.
