Setting goals- it will keep you on track
We lightly hit on writing down your goals and setting them in past post. But today I want to go into goals in more depth. in this post Setting goals- it will keep you on track
1. Write goals out
I have noticed whenever I do the best with something I am wanting to achieve I see a much faster and more satisfying outcome when I write them down- and not on my laptop but by hand.
2. Put your goals in order of importance to YOU
Really think about it before you write one single thing on your goal sheet. WHAT is most important to you- not that you cannot cross out and change them you can, but so that when you initially write them down for that FIRST time you can see a clear line of what you are looking to achieve. It will keep you on track.
3. READ what you wrote down
And do not just read it as you write them or review once then stick in a drawer. Take out your goal sheet often and read it especially if you need a motivator!
And as you reach each goal add new ones and bigger ones. And do not be afraid to revise your list as your needs and wants can change from when you started.
With that in mind also think about your team even before you have a team. What is your goal there? What do you want your team to be like? We have addressed ways to teach your team once you have one, but when it is just you in the room with your dream down on paper, before you are the teacher the team leader standing in front of all the people you sponsor. On day one What is your number? How many people do you want to sponsor a month?
If you want to grow a team fast and sponsor a large amount of people you need to talk to a lot of people either by the old school ways or have them contact you, through Attraction Marketing- so you have to get busy….
Massive Action Creates Massive Results and so you would need to devote the time to create those actions and achieve those goals. If you wanted to start small and grow slowly you could ramp that down some, but you need to decide. Are you new to Network Marketing? Are you trying to make a business work while working full time? It can be rough so you need both clear cut goals and a game plan- as I mentioned in past post use your up line, get with your own sponsor to brainstorm. But it will come down to what you want to give to your business and how much you hunger for the freedom that can be gained in our industry.
For those of you who are still making that daily commute to your office or the local job site if you use mass transportation instead of drive you not only save gas $$$$ You can turn that time into an opportunity to work on your business online by cell, by Ipod by laptop.
And on the weekends buckling down and passing up watching your favorite sports team or seeing the latest movie to work on your business may be a better use of time, because though our goal is to be free from the day to day and have more time- at first in any business Network Marketing is no different you need to make sacrifices to see results.
But you also need to step away and make time for family friends and fun too or you will burn right out! Take it from me I know it is so easy to get going and look up and it be dark. And we have no need for such in depth detail or nose to the grindstone type of work schedule. We have achieved the financial independence each of us is looking for. But old habits are hard to break so better if you try and never develop them in the first place and use a measure of sanity in this industry and yes stay on top yes put in the effort and time, but also know when to walk away close that laptop and take a breather with the kids or the dog for a walk. It also helps clear your head and then better prepare you for the next step and clarify your expectations and fire up the creative juices for growing your business.
