Using Brian Klemmer’s 10 Principles
Using Brian Klemmer’s 10 Principles to Create Success in Life and Network Marketing
10 ways to build character and succeed in business by using Brian Klemmer’s 10 Principles to Create Success in Life and Network Marketing
When I saw the video The Compassionate Samurai I was at first not too open as Brian Klemmer his voice was a bit squeaky and his presence was none too impressive to me. But, as he talked and as he laid down his principles to being extraordinary in an ordinary world I was spellbound by his thought process and the ways in which he shared his 10 Principles.
I will not list his definitions to
the Principles, but I will share what those Principles are. Then my own
interpretation as to what they mean to me. You would do well to read Brian’s
own words too as he was quite a visionary.
The Compassionate Samurai
The 10 Principles
1. Commitment:
- This to me is such an important aspect of character make and keep your commitments follow through and agree to finish what you start it says a lot about who you are and what you stand for. Commitment also gives you a direction and goal that strengthens your character.
2. Responsibility:
- Be the one who takes the lead and steps up says this is mine I am the one who made it, thought it up was in charge. Like Brain laid out responsibility is NOT the blame but is just stepping up and saying it is my baby good bad or indifferent it is just laying claim to what is yours. And when you do that you distinguish yourself for the heard- you are the Sheppard not the sheep.
3. Contribution:
- GIVE be a giver not a taker- make a difference NOTHING builds character like contributing to something, someone, some cause. And when you give of yourself others will follow.
4. Focus:
- I LOVE this one because it is not normally seen in this type of list, but is so important. If you lose direction can’t see clearly what it is you are trying to achieve you will get lost in the muddy waters of too many balls in the air. So make a plan get it down in writing- know your objective and then keep it in sight.
5. Honesty:
- This would be my #1 but I am going down Brian’s list in his order. NOTHING sets you apart from others more than keeping your word and living by a code of truthfulness.
6. Honor:
- This follows honesty for a reason for if you are not honest you cannot be honorable. But also honor others show appreciation and gratitude say thank you and mean It. Give recognition to those around you and honor them as you would yourself- be the person you feel in your heart you are, and like what you see in the mirror- others will as well.
7. Trust:
- This is another very import character trait to me. Not only build your own trust in who you are and let your word be your bond and deliver on your promises, but also extend that trust to others NEVER trust blindly a fool, but do not let the fact there are fools out there keep you from trusting an honest man. In other words do not mistrust before you have given trust. But use small acts of loyalty to build to larger amounts of trust as someone’s character is laid before you.
8. Abundance:
- This is another one I love and believe in. When you KNOW that there is enough for everyone you open your heart and your life to sharing. You now what you give out will come back ten fold and you never worry about want as we have more than enough. We are surrounded by an abundance of endless possibilities as well. The Secret (which I have spoken about on my Welcome Page and throughput this blog) teaches you this and I truly believe we can never run out of anything our hearts desire. So share that abundance and pay it forward
9. Boldness: (Courage)
- This one is really self explanatory be brave be courageous, be bold. For without the spirit to try, to do, to achieve we stay stagnate. From a movie I found a lovely new mantra to add to what I myself share and that is Be Incredibly bold for 20 seconds it COULD change your life!
10. Knowledge:
- This is also very good advice. For to acquire and cultivate the gathering of information and life skills that will increase your ability and help you expand your horizons, is invaluable. Then share that with others, and use it to build your own dreams lay your own foundation and live a successful life and in turn you will create a thriving business.
These 10 character builders are as true in how you lead your life as they are in helping you succeed in business. Like I have said before and also written in my books The Principles of Natural Marketing and The Principles of Natural Relationship Marketing. We cannot build a lasting structure without a strong foundation. And character is one of the strongest tools in our utility belt.
