What are Keywords and why use them?
Well what they are not is sexy- so this post will be by the numbers of laying out the basics no bells no whistles just helping you master the tools to grow your site to better drive traffic and develop a greater online presence.
What Keywords are, are like a little GPS or road maps that lead people to your site.
The term Keywords may sound mysterious as if they open some treasure chest or a hidden door. But all they are is the most common words used when people type in the search box on sites like Google. But they are as valuable as any treasure in getting you noticed.
If someone types say Attraction Marketing they will be sent the highest ranking sites with those Keywords. That is too general a search to find your Attraction Marketing blog Unless you are a top blogger or are paying to be in the top ranks on Google, which would be an entirely different blog post for a later time.
So you want to find Keywords that are even more descriptive- a Google searcher may want Attraction Marketing, but maybe they also want to look up sponsor training, MLM, ways to drive traffic, more descriptive words they also type. Adding Keywords to your post will better narrow your audience looking for what you are writing about.
The use of appropriate Keywords on your site will attract visitors who want to buy the types of products and service you are offering. And are looking for the information you are writing about.
But do not get all freaked out about what you should write- start simple use the words that best describe the subject matter and what your blog is about, attracting people who you are looking for and are looking for you.
And to even build a bigger Keyword list also add other relevant words that pair with your objective like for instance your blog post is on the different ways we use ketchup you can use the word ketchup, but also add names like Heinz, Hunts or condiment to your list.

So what are Keywords and why use them?
Well you will rank higher and be found easier and more often than those that do not use Keywords
If you
1. string two or more Keywords into phrases together they will help you further stand out from those that do not.
2. Put your Keywords in your headline.
3. If you can put more than one Keyword in your title and then in the body of your post you will add greater weight to the search engines finding you, but do not force in the words they must go with the text and flow in a natural pattern as we write first for our reader and second of the Search engines
4. Is another little trick I recommend- whether you create your own or find a picture online rename it or name it by subject of the post you are putting it in. So you have added Keyword tags to your photos or graphics as well.
