Why it’s never smart to say 4 little words in your online business
Hi everyone we are getting ready for
birthdays and then vacation so here it is Monday and I am writing this from
scratch instead of having it all ready to go this weekend 
I do not advise that unless you can think on your feet!
However I have been toying with sharing with you something from a blogger I like Danny Iny of Firepole Marketing- I read about this last week and it is pretty accurate.
A true business professional does not say I make money at… Or try and get you into their industry by saying you can make money @….
Why it’s never smart to say 4 little words in your online business
And what are they????? I Make money online. and WHY?
From Danny Iny “Nobody talks about “making money in restaurants” – they talk about opening a restaurant! Nobody talks about “making money in coaching” – they talk about becoming a coach!”
So he is correct and it is the right way to present yourselves and to conduct your business be it online or off. We in Network, Social, Attraction, Authority Marketing or whatever label you use- present a professional demeanor we provide proven credentials and a history of how we do business backed by a reputation of what others think of your company. This will help you stand away from those that do less and distance yourself from fakes and scammers. And when you meet someone, or are approached by someone who shows a need for what you provide, or an interest in joining your company. You will interview in an easy conversational way to check for a personality fit work matching ethics and goals. But you will not need to nor wish to bring up the fact that you are in business to make money. As an opener to generate interest STOP! You do not need to mention that compensation is a part of your industry. They should know it is.
So the next time you may be tempted to lead with come join us and make money online- think about how that may look, do you offer any real proof do you spell out a road map to riches to garner interest? NO instead though you know YES you can make money online you can make a lot of money online as well as off, but, it is not as simple as the as those slick ads and here today’s gone tomorrows make you think if it were they would not be working so hard, they would be enjoying all their wealth instead of offering their “great deal” for just 19.99 today only.
Being a success online takes two things above all else. I am not saying you do not need to do your homework put in the hours and the learning or honing of your skills offer value and outshine your competition and a ton more. I am saying you can do all that and still not be a success. But Danny Iny says Audience is paramount and he is right however I will add reputation to that, as my audience as vast as you are and as many people who follow me all over is, it is my reputation that keeps you and lends credibility to what I offer, recommend or am involved in as far as others coming to me and asking what I think.
TRUST is paramount.
You can have that too. Through this blog I have been teaching you how to build a following how to brand yourself and set in motion building your new business or advancing your current one, so that you will have the same outcome and grow your company through the interest you generate by the people who follow you and remembering in the offline world no one says I make money showing kids how to read, if they are a teacher. Or claims to make money is why they are involved in any business or profession- that it a given, they instead say what they do or their company does or services it provides. Or simply say I am in the ….…. Business
I, tell people in my Business Solutions Company I promote hope and teach self reliance- and a better world starts with one person, I am that one person. That inspires because it touches the heart and motivates a desire to come aboard, without pitching catch phases or dangling dollar signs. Find your mantra for your business for your life and use it to brand and build who you want others to see you are.
