Build it and they WILL come

EXTRA If you build it….

EXTRA If you build it they will come I have never understood that quote I loved it, in Field of Dreams, If you Build it they will come. But, really that is not a call to action! It should be WHEN you build it they will come. But, it fits our industry as so many play the if’s instead of the I will’s

Question to you will you be an if, or an I will? A yes I can, or make excuses?

So now you have chosen the company, and did your training and are, committed to continually keep up on both.

You love the business opportunity and your sponsor.

NOW WHAT?

I do not want to put a downer on our wonderful industry, but most people stop and flake out about at this point in time. I will do it tomorrow, or get to it next week or I do not know what to do next, so they do nothing.

Soon they find its months sometimes years later and they are no better off now than when they started.

So why do they join? I have a couple of theories.

One: they are romanced into the business with promises of unicorns and pots of gold at the base of the rainbow.

misconception can be achieved by unscrupulous people in Network Marketing, or naive people passing on what they were told, overzealous and over the top reps that truly believe what they say.

Downright liars and scammers just trying to rack up sign on bonuses not caring about attrition.

And even the people themselves can be convinced by their own uninformed daydreams and not doing proper research before joining.

But instead, by allowing the flashy headlines and capture pages out there blinking huge DOLLAR signs to reinforce a make-believe world where money is thrown at you for no more than a smile, but fail to take into account that Network Marketing is no less a business than a brick and mortar is. It has it’s perks like the tax breaks of being self-employed I explained in iLA Taxshield and Oh No it’s tax time as well as setting your own hours and even deciding what you want to make and how fast you want to go, but you must get out there And do it, to make anything.

And two: They did their research, they had realistic goals and expectations and think they will do it, but thinking you will is not enough you must know you will. And sadly they only think.

So any little excuse- it is harder than I thought it would be, I do not know where to go next, I am not sure I can do this- any excuse is grabbed up and embraced. Why because, you can always find a reason not to do something. If you think you can or you think you can’t you are ALWAYS right.

What you have to decide BEFORE you join a company is not will I join, people join in droves into Network Marketing companies every day. Instead, is will I DO it?!

Fear HAS to be tamed

Procrastination HAS to be overcome

And your WHY you are doing this i.e. family, freedom, security, has to be big enough for you to WANT to change your life, or you won’t.

Remember set realistic goals, you may not get to quit your job at first but, you should be able to as you grow your business start building a cushion that lessons the need to acquire an additional job in these changing times in America like I shared in Warning part time and more layoffs coming.

Sure it is work, maybe even outside your comfort zone but nothing, Not ANYTHING for the average everyday person is going to offer you a better way to give your family, give yourself the life you deserve than Network Marketing. YOU just have to get busy building your company one person at a time, one day at a time. One foot in front of the other to reach your goals and not find that pot of gold, but earn it and work for it and know you bought your freedom by your actions. No mystery so secret formula just good ol fashioned work, but work you did for yourself, for your family and for your future. And when to start on that road is NOW!
