Networking and the Buddy System- Facebook
I addressed before on a broader scale the importance of getting out there and using Social Networks, especially Twitter and Facebook. I want to in this 3 part series go a bit deeper in how to do that, as well as recommend a couple more sites that are newer and I like.
First in addressing Networking and the Buddy System- well will go more into your Facebook presence most of you have pages most of you know the basics, but there are a few more advanced things you can do to create a base that will be beneficial to your company and can develop a following of your blog and help you sell your products and services.

1. Your Wall as a Forum
What I have noticed is more and more businesses are using the Facebook’s wall like a forum for sharing ideas building relationships and getting customer and potential customer feedback
While there is an event planner on Facebook you can also arrange get toethers set up meetings invite to webinars and more community connection and media hookups on your Facebook wall.
And your wall it is a really good place to make special offers and showcase your latest products in an informational way. Say like our company Visalus. We are known for our 90 Challenge and the great taste of our shakes. But many people do not know that we are not a weight loss company we change bodies and lives. We have shape kits and other products that will do everything form get you back to the desired weight to adding bulk and muscle or just improve your health. And we just released a new product line with the serious workout enthusiasts in mind to tone and even more define your body. Facebook is a great way to share that information we are not trolling for businesses we are simply letting people know what is going on in our company and the different products we offer.
2. Show your Heart
Another use may also be, again using
our company as I do not know what your opportunity or business’s products are
or mission statement is. But mine will match donations of nutritional shake
kits purchased with donations to hungry children in the USA and so would be a
great feel good way go get a little buzz going on- say make this our Spring
fundraiser on my Labrador Rescue- Hey I may have just given myself an idea 
How about you?
You see where I am going there? That you can spotlight the good your company does “show your heart” and also more deeply brand yourself using your Facebook wall.
3. Show Team Appreciation
You can also help both yourself and your company by recognizing your team, “atta boying” them on your wall will show the public that you ARE a team and position you as a good leader and maybe someone looking for a new opportunity will like the way that you run your team and see a match in mindset on your business practices- so who knows your contact info is there they could just let you know that they are interested and all it cost you was a little public display of team pride.
4. Market Research and Public Participation
You may also want to utilize this forum style writing to keep the public abreast of what is going on with your company, business or opportunity on your wall. Update them on how your growing as you add new products and ask for input and community involvement with projects and planning future events webinars etc. What are they looking for what do they want? Great for gauging the pulse of your audience. And that feedback can also influence how you write on your blog as well as more than likely those following you on Facebook will be going to your blog and you want to keep them there reading and getting even more information as well as seeing who you are and liking what they see and wanting to join with you in your journey- opt in to your opportunity and purchase your products.
5. Use your Smart phones
By adding the Mobile App for Facebook it allows you to take your business building community with you everywhere and even if your company does not have an app- with Facebook now YOU, do. Facebbok is not for silly kitties and cute puppy pictures, sharing our grand kids and what we ate for lunch anymore, oh it is still there and do not lose the personal touch that is you and keeps you real- post those vacation pictures sharing your holiday cards throw in a cute puppy and a grand baby now and then, but do not forget the value of your contact list and how you use your wall to stay in touch and keep the interest in what you are doing and what you are about going.
