Yesterday verses Today, Old against New- we hear it all the time.
I told you in my last post we would now get into the nuts and bolts of what Network Marketing is. So here goes.
I keep getting asked am I saying that old school Network Marketing does not work, and it’s all online now?
The Network Marketing Battle
No, no I am not. Network Marketing
done the old fashioned way (offline, face to face and by phone) does work it is
the biggest home based industry there is so there has to be a reason for that 
If you just put your nose to the grindstone and start calling lead list you purchased, even pick up the phone book, and just start cold calling and talk to people- YOU WILL get both some who join your team and also some that become your customers.
In spite of what you read online, on some blogs, find written in some courses and hear from some people to the contrary, YOU CAN DO IT ALL THE OLD FASHIONED WAY!!!!
You will just by shear volume get opt ins- if you call enough people, statistics alone will weigh that out. And the more calls you make the more positive results will grow from those calls.
I am not trying to stop you using old school methods, but to introduce you to ways to avoid cold calling. Because the thought of calling strangers is what stops a lot of you in your tracks!
And also help you learn how to stop running out of good solid leads to call. By driving online traffic who are interested in you before you call.
Many of you know how to use offline tools. Do it the hard way. The work and time that goes into building your business the old school way. I am trying to show you a smart way to add to what works for you and for others it may actually be the light bulb that goes off and gets them moving and building their business.
I put this blog up to help current and would be Network Marketers to utilize the online community, an add the power of the internet to your tool belt. Because it is an integral part of any business marketing plan in the today’s world. And it is just going to grow in importance as more people come online to research, and make their purchase decisions as well as find companies they want to join. And as far as home business Network Marketing is the big one people both research and wish to join because the business model is appealing to so many. And in today’s economy with the high unemployment numbers people ARE looking, and they are doing it online.
Why the high failure rate in this
industry, is not because the old methods or even the new, do not work- it is
because most people who join a Network Marketing company do not do anything.
And if you do a whole lot a nothing, you get a whole lot a nothing
So we do not throw the baby out with the bathwater here. We are only tweaking how we do business. Instead of the cold calls and chasing we are instead using education and growing a following that you will build warm leads from that when they provide a phone number YOU will make thank your calls to, “Good afternoon George this Sandy Metcalf, I just wanted to thank you for signing up for more information about ViSalus, I only have a few minutes to touch basis at this time, but I will be emailing you the information your requested.”.
Something like- that which shows gratitude, but does not take a lot of your time. That simple act could lay the ground work for a relationship- and George will more likely review what he signed up for because he will think highly of you for the personal gesture. And if George does not get back with you before, he will be more open should you make a follow up call a week later.
So oh YES we do still need to make phone calls- I am just trying to teach you to take the sting out of them and avoid the old cold scripted type, by setting up a system that brings warm leads and perspective customers and possible team members to your inbox, so you can then contact them.
If you are afraid ever being on the phone Network Marketing is NOT for you. Maybe you would do better with Affiliate Marketing.
